Hear the soul of the Celts The Celts were the true essence of warrior-poets.When Alexander the Great asked the Celts what they feared most he expected them to say him but instead they gave a reply he respected for its honesty."We fear only that the earth may open up and swallow us,that the skies shall fall upon us and that the sea will come up and drown us."
This same spirit and artistry survives today in the poetry of the British Isles much of which was inspired by the Celts themselves. Here you will find links to some of the best poets in Ireland,Scotland and Wales and if you wish you may submit your own poems to me for publication here or a link to your poetry web site that deals with the Celts. |
